Lithium-ion batteries are the most common battery type used for electric vehicles. During their lifespan, these batteries undergo various vibrations and temperature changes. Several standardized tests have been developed to simulate long-term environmental effects on batteries at different size levels (cell, module, pack).
This product focuses on vibration and temperature aspects of four key standards: SAE J2380, SAE J2464, IEC 62660-2, and UN 38.3. Our Spider systems provide comprehensive solutions for random, sine, and shock vibration testing, along with temperature control.

Based on actual road measurement data, SAE J2380 simulates the effect of driving 100,000 miles on battery packs and modules. The standard requires random vibration profiles applied across three perpendicular axes for durations ranging from 9 minutes to 38 hours each.
This standard evaluates abuse tolerance for cells and battery packs, measuring response for any rechargeable energy storage system (RESS). The tests simulate scenarios contrary to design intent but possible during field use. Includes:
- Thermal shock cycling (70°C to -40°C)
- Shock vibration test (3 positive/negative half-sine shocks in three axes)
Specifies reliability and abuse testing for EV lithium-ion cells. Includes:
- 8-hour random vibration test on each plane
- Mechanical shock test in all six spatial directions
- Temperature test from room temperature to 130°C
- 30 thermal cycles (85°C to -40°C)
Required for lithium-ion battery transport certification. Includes:
- 10 thermal cycles (72°C to -40°C) plus 24-hour ambient storage
- 3-hour swept sine vibration test in three mounting positions
- 18 half-sine shocks (3 positive/negative in three axes)

2000Hz Horizontal Slip Table Vibration Testing Humidity Range ≤90%
Slip Table for Vibration Shaker System A slip table in vibration testing is an auxiliary table used with a vibration exciter (shaker) to transmit motion in the horizontal direction. It's essential for testing specimens in a horizontal orientation, particularly when the specimen's orientation must be maintained throughout the test. Slip tables also enable testing of large and heavy specimens that might exceed the capacity of the shaker's vertical table.Key Functions and
