Product Description

The Thermal abuse test chamber is based on the requirements of the test standards such as UL1642 and IEC62133. After the battery is fully charged, the battery is placed in the test chamber. The test chamber is heated at a temperature rise rate of (5 ± 2) ° C / min, and the temperature is constant after the temperature in the chamber reaches 130 ° C ± 2 ° C for 30 min. The battery should not ignite and not explode.

 

 

Single battery safety test:

The heating test:

a) The rechargeable battery is charged according to the method of 6.1.3.

b) The single battery is placed in the temperature chamber.

For lithium ion batteries, the temperature chamber is raised from RT to 130 °C ± 2 °C at a rate of 5 ° C / min,

and the heating is stopped after maintaining this temperature for 30 min;

For metal cyanide nickel batteries, the temperature chamber is heating at a rate of 5 ° C / min

The temperature was raised from RT to 85 ° C ± 2 ° C, and the temperature was stopped after 2 h.

c) observe 1h

 

Battery module safety test:

The battery module battery is charged according to the method of 6.1.4;

a) For the lithium ion battery, the temperature box is raised from room temperature to 130 °C ± 2 °C at a rate of 5 ° C / min,

 and the heating is stopped after maintaining the temperature for 30 min;

b) For the cyanide nickel battery, the temperature box was raised from room temperature to 85 °C ± 2 °C at a rate of 5 ° C / min, 

and the heating was stopped after maintaining this temperature for 2 h.
