This standard defines procedures for testing specimens to sinusoidal vibrations over specified frequency ranges and durations. It applies to products subjected to harmonic vibrations in ships, aircraft, vehicles, machinery, and space applications.
The specification covers test parameter control, vibration amplitudes, frequency ranges, and durations. Users select appropriate test severities for their products, with guidance provided in Annexes A-C.
This procedure tests components, products and equipment to broadband random vibration over specified frequency ranges. It's primarily for unpackaged specimens but can test packaged products for transportation vibrations.
